UPSC CAPF(AC) EXAMINATION,2015 - 304
CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCES (ASSISTANT
COMMANDANTS) EXAMINATION, 2015
The Union Public Service Commission will
hold a Written Examination on 12th July, 2015 for
recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces
(CAPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF),
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The Examination will be held in accordance with the
Rules for the Examination published by Ministry of Home Affairs in the Gazette
of India dated 25th April, 2015. The
date of holding the examination as mentioned above is liable to be changed at
the discretion of the Commission.

ELIGIBILITY
CONDITIONS :
(I)
NATIONALITY : No person who is not a citizen of India shall,
except with the consent of the Central Government signified in writing be
appointed or employed under these Rules.Provided that nothing contained in
these rules shall debar the appointment, enrolment or employment of a subject
of Nepal or Bhutan under these Rules.
(II)
SEX : Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for
appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants in CRPF, CISF, SSB and BSF.
However, for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants in ITBP only Male
candidates are eligible.
(III)
AGE LIMITS :
(a)
A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained
the age of 25 years on 1st August, 2015, i.e. he/she must have been born
not earlier than 2nd August, 1990 and not later than 1st August, 1995.
(b)
The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable.
(IV)
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s
degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature
in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament
or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University
Grants Commission Act, 1956
or
possess an equivalent qualification.

Candidates
(excepting Female/SC/ ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are
required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either
by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking
facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/
State Bank of Mysore /State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by
using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
HOW

(a)
Candidates are required to apply Online using the link www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed
instructions for filling up Online Applications are available on the above
mentioned website.
(b)
The applicants are advised to submit only single application. However, if due
to any unavoidable situation, he/she submits another/multiple applications,
then he/she must ensure that application with the higher RID is complete in all
respects like applicants details, examination centre, photograph, signature,
fee etc. The applicants who are submitting multiple applications should note
that only the application with higher RID (Registration ID) shall be entertained
by the Commission and fee paid against one RID shall not be adjusted against
any
other
RID.
(c)
All candidates, whether already in Government Service, Government owned industrial
undertakings or other similar organisations or in private employment should
submit their applications direct to the Commission.
Persons already in Government service, whether
in permanent or temporary capacity or as work-charged employees other than
casual or daily rated employees or those serving under the Public Enterprises
are however, required to inform in writing their Head of Office/ Department
that they have applied for the Examination.
Candidates should note that in case a communication
is received from their employer by the Commission withholding permission to the
candidates applying for/ appearing at the examination, their application will
be liable to be rejected/ candidature will be liable to be cancelled.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: - Matriculation from a recognized Board or

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION: The candidates shall be subjected to an
Aptitude Test of the level of 10th class/matriculation covering the following
subjects/topics.
Total Marks-100 (No. of PARTS with their
contents will be as follows)
Part A – 25 marks – 25 questions on General Knowledge, Reasoning and Analytical
Ability – Multiple Choice Questions.
Part B – 25 marks – 25 questions on Mathematics - Multiple Choice Questions.
Part C (Two Segments)
a) 25 marks – English Language – Objective Type
/ Multiple Choice Questions.
b) 25 marks – Regional Language - Objective
Type / Multiple Choice Questions.
[a. Examination will
be conducted for 90 Minutes covering four parts in one day.

based on Divisional level merit from among the qualified candidates

THE MINIMUM
QUALIFYING MARKS TO BE OBTAINED IN EACH PART OF THE APTITUDE TEST IS PRESCRIBED

COST OF APPLICATION FORM REGISTRATION: - Rs. 100/- (plus Rs. 20/- for e payment commission) for all categories of applicants

EXAMINATION FEE: - The Examination fee prescribed for all male
applicants in General and OBC categories is Rs. 400/-. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/
Scheduled Tribes / Physically Impaired / Women are exempted from payment of
Examination Fee.
VACANCIES
HOW TO APPLY:-
(i) The Applicant has to access the website http://wbpost.eadmissions.net/
for seeing the detailed Notification/Advertisement issued by the
Department and the Instruction Sheet / Information Brochure.
(ii) Before starting Registration of his/her application on the
website, the Applicant should read the notification, instruction sheet
carefully. He/she has to evaluate his/her eligibility for the category. His/her
eligibility will be evaluated during the registration process and the process
shall terminate for ineligible applicants and reasons there for would be
prompted.
(iii) Before starting his registration of his application on-line,
the applicant should be ready with the soft copies of passport size photo (Max
100 kb, Min 2 kb, .JPG format) and signature (Max 100 kb, Min 2 kb, .JPG
format) which are required to be uploaded after filling up of the inputs
and uploading the application on-line.
(iv) One applicant has to submit only one application. If more
than one application is registered, it will lead to rejection of all the
applications registered by the applicant.
(v) Applicant should fill the details / inputs in the On-line
Application at the appropriate places very carefully and click on the SUBMIT
button at the end of the Registration of On-line Application Form. Before
Pressing the SUBMIT button, the applicants are advised to verify carefully
every field / inputs mentioned in the application. Name of the Applicant or his
/ her father’s name etc should be spelled correctly in the application as it so
appears in the Matriculation mark sheet / certificate. Any change / alteration
found / detected later on may lead to his / her disqualification of
candidature.
(vi) The applicants will kindly note that the particulars
mentioned in the On-line application will be considered as final and no change
/ alteration / modification will be allowed / entertained after submission of
the On-line application under any circumstances.
(vii) After successful registration, a provisional Unique
Registration Number (URN) will be generated by the system and displayed on the
screen. The registration number along with password shall be sent to the
Applicant to the given email ID and SMS to given Mobile Number in the
application. The applicant has to use the registration number and password for
login in into the website where he / she can generate the challan in triplicate
to enable him / her to pay the fee. Applicant has to take out a print out of
the system generated fee Payment Challan. Applicant has to retain this number
and password for future references.
(viii) The Applicant is further advised to fill in the On-line
Application form in one go and save the data. The Applicant can edit the
particulars if needed before final Submission of the Application Form. Once the
application is filled completely, the applicant should submit the data.
(ix) Mode of Payment:-The cost of Application Form and
Examination fee are already prescribed in Para No. 12 and 13 above of this
notification. The applicants have to approach their nearest e-payment Post
Offices (listed under the link E payment Post Offices in the said website)
and to produce Fee Payment Challan printed by him/her & to pay the FEE in
CASH (INR) only. Once the fee has been paid, the Registration process is
completed. The applicant can check his/her status of payment at the website http://wbpost.eadmissions.net/
after 3
working days after payment of the fee. In case of Non-payment the application
registered will not be considered for further process. The applicants who have
registered the applications on the closing date of registration are permitted
to pay the FEE till 23.05.2015.
16. The Applicants after successful registration of the On-line
Application are advised to keep print out of the “PREVIEW” of his Application,
copy of fee challan, receipt issued by the Post Office and Registration slip
for any future reference.
17. The Applicants are advised not to enclose/upload copies of any
certificates / documents. The application Registered on-line will be treated as
Provisional and it will be subject to Verification of respective Certificates /
documents. The applicant has to furnish a declaration to the effect that the
inputs furnished by him/her are true, complete and correct to the best of his /
her knowledge and they will be supported by the original documents /
testimonials as and when required/demanded. Any false/incorrect information
found / detected at any stage, his/her candidature/appointment will be
summarily rejected/terminated. Therefore it is mandatory for the applicant to
Tick the Check Box about this Declaration at end of the Application Form,
before saving and uploading the application.
18. Closing Date for Registration of Application: The
registration of on-line application will commence on 21.04.2015 at 00.00 hrs.

Academic Qualifications: (AS ON 01.09.2015)
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University
or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply
provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will
have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before
01.09.2015. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should
ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 01.09.2015.

Phase-I : Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by
securing passing marks to be decided by the Bank. Adequate number of candidates
in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 20 times the numbers of
vacancies subject to availability) will be short listed for the Main
Examination.
Phase – II: Main Examination: Main Examination will consist of
Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests
will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive test by typing on
the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test
will be administered.
(i) Objective Test: The Objective Test of 2 hour
duration consists of 4 Sections with 50 marks each (Total 200 marks) as
follows:
a) Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary,
Comprehension etc.)
b) Test of General Awareness, Marketing &Computers
c) Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
d) Test of Reasoning (High Level)
The candidates are required to qualify in each of the
Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.
(ii) Descriptive
Test: The Descriptive Test of 1 hour duration with 50 marks will be a Test of
English Language
(Letter Writing & Essay).
The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive
Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the
Bank
Phase – III: Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)
The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the
Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in
each category. Adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by
the Bank will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The qualifying
marks in Group Discussion &Interview will be as decided by the Bank.
Final Selection
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination
(Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and only the marks obtained in
Main Examination (Phase-II) will be added to the marks obtained in GD &
Interview (Phase-III) for preparation of the final merit list.
The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and
Phase-III separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out
of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion
& Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The final merit
list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group
Discussion &Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be
made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
Results of the candidates who have qualified for GD &
Interview and the list of candidates finally selected will be made available on
the Bank's website. Final select list will be published in Employment News/
Rozgar Samachar.

or www.sbi.co.in . After registration
candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode
by using debit card/ credit card/Internet Banking.
Pre-requisites for Applying Online Candidates should have
valid email ID which should be kept active till the declaration of results. It
will help him/her in getting call letter/interview advices etc. by email.
